In the run up to the launch of a new anti-ageing product St Tropez , the world’s leading self-tanning experts, commisioned a survey of British women about how their lifestyle may have an effect on their skin condition.

Whilst Wednesdays may be a downer things get better in the next two days. Thursday was the prefered day for having sex. Friday meant a rosy glow and of course a happy feeling that the weekend was fast approaching.

Girlfriends Films December Newsletter

I’ve always said that the performers in our business are a special group but – outside their work on camera – there are few opportunities when they get to prove themselves and really shine as they are so capable of doing. Unfortunate circumstances involving the health of performer and director Elexis Monroe have recently presented such an opportunity, and the response has been overwhelming. Performers and fans from America and Europe have been e-mailing and calling me for updates, and I know that Elexis has been flooded with similar good wishes and inquiries.
Elexis’ problem started with severe dental abscesses which spread without her realizing the real nature and seriousness of the situation.She went to the emergency room over the Thanksgiving holiday, and they got her into emergency surgery the following Monday.
Girlfriends Films will soon be shooting a special DVD issue of our popular series “Lesbian Sex” which we want Elexis to host. Performers will donate half their fees to the Elexis fund, and those donations will be matched by Girlfriends Films. Given the number of performers who have submitted their names for the project, it will be a difficult selection process.
In addition, for December we will be giving Elexis our monthly charity donation of $1,000. Fans are

Nick Says- There is so much going on here which isn’t always apparent to the casual onlooker.We’re hard at work fulfilling our commitments to Girlfriends Films amongst all our other media partners. It’s really exciting getting the kind of coverage that we enjoy now with this particular distribution deal. We were quite taken aback at the splash the deal made in the adult industry. As a result we’ll be earning more money to pour into the production coffers and produce HIGH END content and more of it too. There is one thing that we are not short of here at Viv Thomas is ideas for shoots. What we’re really looking forward to is being able to do a lot more work in the future and that means a lot more films.

    There is another big deal we’re currently working on, which we will announce early next year (2013). This will also free us up to produce more, which is what we are essentially all about: production.
We’re also working on a new web site with a model (which we’re not quite ready to divulge who it is yet) and another specialized site to be launched in 2013. So there’s a lot going on! Keep in touch.

1 If for some reason people don’t know Blue Angel can you introduce her and tell us about some of the work she’s done for Viv?
Blue Angel is a Hungarian girl that we met some time ago. One of her first ever scenes was with Lisa (Cameron Cruz) in the Sex Tapes. 2 Can you tell us about Shades of Blue?
Shades of Blue is a film dedicated to and featuring Blue Angel. We spoke with her before shooting and asked what type of scenes she would prefer to do. She was really into it, becoming deeply involved in choosing the scenarios and the models. A blip of excitement for her was the fact that these scenes were rare for her and she doesn’t often get the chance to perform things like this. We also asked her who she would like to work with in each of these scenarios and she gleefully took that on as well, choosing Cindy Hope, Antonya, Brandy Smile and Viktoria Diamond – a top selection of the best girls working in Hungary right now. What gives “Shades of Blue” a lot more personality than the average porn film is the interviews between scenes. Blue is supported by her good friend, Cindy Hope and as a result, she gets really frank with the camera at times. It’s an illuminating, stimulating and exciting watch. Our fans are saying this is our best film in 18 months!
3 Office Girls 3 has   a mainly English cast I believe. Can you tell us about the stars and the storyline?
Yes, three out of the four girls in Office Girls 3 are English and that helped a lot with the dialogue. Lexi Lowe has developed amazingly well and is extremely relaxed with the camera, rolling her lines off with ease and improvising perfectly at times, not to mention the mind blowing sex she enjoys! Paige Turnah is a highly awarded star from the UK as well and she was great on set – no lack of confidence there! Blonde MILF, Rebecca More, played the boss in a small architectural firm (with   Czech beauty, Suzie Carina, and Lexi Lowe as her office workers). What Rebecca is looking for is a deal with rich bitch, Paige Turnah, who has recently arrived in the Algarve and is looking to develop some property. Lexi goes over for an initial interview with Paige and ends up naked in the jacuzzi with her. Let’s just say that she really impressed Paige in an intense scene, as does Suzie Carina at the next meeting.
It’s a great film and is quite different from the previous two Office Girls films.

4 There are at least 3 treats coming up around Christmas – Tides of Lust, Story of She 2 and Lesbian Sex Diaries. Can you tell us something about them?
Tides of Lust is a loose storyline based on the sunny beaches of Portugal. We highlight the difference between a cold northern European spring where we open with Jo and Eve in a spectacularly warm and loving lesbian scene. Jo looks out the window at the grey weather and yearns for some sun. They decide on an impulse to go to Portugal and by chance they meet up with another couple: enthralling brunette newcomer Nicole Smith and one of my personal favourites, Lana. Boats, suntan oil, bikinis, surf, beach volleyball and cocktails ensue and while they’re all having a boat load of fun, Viktoria Diamond stands off to the side and picks Lana and Eve off, one by one. It’s filled with spectacular scenery and is a wonderful summer film filled with incredibly sensual performances by some of our top girls.

Story of She 2 is definitely one of the most well written and well filmed projects we have attempted to date. Following on from the first title: Story of She, it follows the story of Lexi Lowe and incorporates the following beauties: Nicole Smith (fast becoming a VT legend!), Iwia (a Czech cutie relatively new to VT), Czech babe, Eileen, Paige Turnah (from Office girls 3 fame) and Samantha Bentley (another UK girl we have worked with before). We’re not saying much about this now, but there is a bit of everything in this lesbian epic: female domination, deep long loving relationships, quick one night stands and best of all, smoking hot lesbian sex with tons of kissing.

Lesbian Sex Diaries is a title that we have not produced ourselves but certainly stands up to the Viv Thomas quality mark. It follows the most beautiful Czech girls on the scene today, and we have worked with all of them on previous films, bar one girl. So expect to see Ariel, Tea J, Lola, Suzie Carina and Micha romping around a lavish location for a weekend away with old school friends. It’s beautifully shot.
5 I’m sure I must have missed something out. Is there anything else people should look out for?
Yes, you missed out Art of Sex 2. This follows on from our most popular title ever, which is fairly unusual for our loyal lesbian fans, who seem to think that all we ever shoot are girl-girl films. However, we turned our hands to making a passionate and sensual boy-girl film called Art of Sex and it received incredible acclaim. The long awaited title is almost ready and in all preliminary viewings, it is proving to be truly a cut above the rest. You can rest assured it is right up there on a par with the original “Art of Sex” and may even be a whole lot better!
6 How is Jo’s site doing? Can you tell us about some of the content on there now? What can members look forward to?
Jo’s site is proceeding exceptionally well. Membership is on the rise and the content is just mesmerizing. Jo has 100% creative input into the shoots and with us balancing the output with a solo one week and a lesbian shoot the next, things could easily get boring. However she has taken this on-board and varies up the solos incredibly. Currently we’re releasing a story which loosely ties in a bunch of lesbian scenes which is proving popular with the fans. I must say, her fans have been incredible and the comments we receive about her work are a really spine tingling to read. 7 You’ve now signed a distribution deal with Girlfriends Films. Have you had to adapt certain scenes because of American censorship. I’m thinking in particular about fisting.
No we don’t have to adapt too much, as for years we have been supplying softer versions of our content to Playboy TV.

It may be in, but is it fun for women?

Which sexual practice is on the rise? Which sexual practice may cause you pain even when everything’s done right?  A pain whose cause remains largely a mystery.

Whilst rates for sexual practices such as masturbation, vaginal sex and oral sex have hardly changed one practice is on the rise. In a 1994 survey 23% of women said they’d tried anal sex. This rose to 35%  in  2002 and 40%  in 2010.
Why this is so no one really knows. The usual suspect and probably the most plausible candidate is on line porn. A recent study noted the predominence of this genre in sex scenes.
Tristan Taormino wrote her groundbreaking book , The Ultimate Guide to Anal Sex for Women, in 1998 to shed light onto something that was and still is considered a strong taboo for both sexes. There has though been little or no scientific research on heterosexual anal sex. This is really surprising considering the risks of STI’s including HIV.
A unique study by the University of Zagreb has now shed some light on this subject. 2,002 women aged between 18-30 took part in an on line survey of anal eroticism.
The results showed:

….  that about half of women (49 percent) stopped their first experience of anal intercourse because it was too painful to continue – not surprising considering 52 percent of women report not even using lubricant when they first had anal sex! An additional 17 percent of women also experienced pain or discomfort during their first anal sex, but didn’t stop their partner. Only about one-quarter of women said their first experience with anal sex was pleasant.
That said, nearly two-thirds tried anal sex again (hopefully this time with lubricant), continuing on another occasion. Those women who found it positive, pleasurable and pain-free were more likely to try it again. About 9 percent of women who had anal sex at least twice in the past year said that they experienced pain every single time

Let’s not forget that despite what we may see in porn good anal sex requires relaxation, lubrication and often gradual penetration.
It’s reckoned that there’s a similar percentage of women who also find vaginal sex painful . They also experience it during daily activities such as sitting down and riding in a car.
Pain during anal sex can’t simply be blamed on a lack of respect for the best practices. Scientists just don’t know why anal or vaginal sex is painful for some women. They also more alarmingly  don’t know what the long term effects of regular anal intercourse are. It’s more than time to break the taboo.

1 Since we last talked danejones.com has had quite a few developments. Can you please introduce people to the sites that exist and sites in the making?
We operate DaneJones.com which is our flagship site, we also operate Lesbea.com and we are launching a new site early in November that I can not name at this stage, but it will be a sensual, couples-friendly site that features women over 30 years-of-age in both straight and lesbian scenes. You can check our ruseful.tumblr.com blog for announcements and info. We’re also in the midst of creating three new premium sites for 2013, and in addition to this we’ve been developing a network of reality sites which have proved to be very popular.

2 Before we talk about the feature can you tell us why you chose Praha rather than Prague in the title? 

It sounded cooler!

3 What’s the plot of Lost in Praha?
It’s not really plot-driven, we just wanted to create a three-episode mini-series with an erotic and dreamlike atmosphere, with more layers than usual, a vague and seductive voice-over, and one central character that linked the scenes together. The format of online pornography has changed a lot in recent years so I’ve been thinking more about what can be done within a more contemporary framework, I like the idea of web-series’ so it’s kind of an experiment in that direction.

4 Can you introduce us to the four leading ladies? 

     Ariel needs no introduction I’m sure, she is the beautiful Czech girl with the incredible natural breasts, fiery-red-hair and husky voice. We love working with her and people used to talk a lot about wanting to hear her voice more, hence the voice-overs in the intro to each scene. Tess is a girl we’ve been working with a lot, she’s absolutely fantastic and incredibly gorgeous, Lucie is a new girl and actually came in as a last minute replacement for someone else who dropped out, she was only doing soft-modeling before so she is new to shooting these kinds of scenes, and when Ariel had multiple-orgasms from that magic wand vibrator in her scene, well her face was a picture! And Ivy is our new star who everyone seems to be falling in love with right now, and for good reason! Ivy is one of my favourite girls to work with right now.

5 What’s been the feedback so far?
We’ve had a number of very positive emails about the three individual episodes, so it seems members of Lesbea.com enjoyed it very much. They have high ratings on our site and they are a little bit different to the scenes that we update the site with every week, which I think is always nice.

 6   Are there any other features in the works? 

    Like I’ve said the internet and the members-site framework doesn’t really suit the traditional format of a 5-scene “movie” that used to go out on DVD. We want to provide regular updates for our members, multiple times per week, and top-quality premium content, so we’re looking at other ways to evolve that more conventional “feature” format. But yes, we do have a number of exciting projects in development that have story and characters, but the format is going to be a little bit more contemporary and ‘web-friendly’.

Who rules the twitterverse?

The simple answer is you do Female Tweeters whom I’ll call Twitteresses. We know this because some tech guys have been checking out your social media footprints.

Beevolve , a social media monitering company for marketers , took a mere 36 million twitter users and did some number crunching.One major finding was that women dominate the twittersphere.
It was only possible to identify the gender of 66% of the sample. 53% were twitteresses and the rest twitterers.
The older users get, the more shy they are about disclosing their age. The available data shows that three quarters of users are in the 15-25 age bracket. Here women outnumber men until they’re 25. After 35 the number of twitteresses dwindle relative to twitterers.
These twitteresses are mainly English speaking. Five out of ten twitteresses come from the USA. There the number of twitterers of both genders is equal. The UK is in second place with just 17% of all users and women slightly dominate men. France is an exception in developed countries because twitterers are in the majority.
Twitter users with a Smartphone or Tablet prefer to use Apple devices to access twitter.  They also mainly use twitter apps.
Twitteresses mostly have protected accounts. Purple beats pink as their favourite background colour for their twitter pages. It is of course the least popular choice with twitterers. They prefer steel gray and other darker colours.
A quarter of users have never twittered. The 1 million active twitter users have tweeted at least a billion times in the last three years. If you want to be be more precise the average twitter user has sent out 714 tweets in the last three years.
It’s twitteresses who on average send out more tweets than twitterers. 610 compared to 567. They mainly talk about family and fashion whilst twitterers tweet about technology, sports and entrepreneurship.
I don’t know if the web-crawlers who’ve been used to gather this information give you the creeps. Marketers I’m sure will be pouring over the detailed statistics and coming up with cunning plans for future campaigns. There is though an academic interest in what light the social media can shed on adult industry performers and their fans. This is research being carried out by Dr Chauntelle Tibbals and hopefully we’ll learn about the results on her blog Porn Valley Vantage.

A Canadian University has created a site where antigay language is tracked in real time on twitter.

In September 2010 Stephanie Rice, Australian triple Olympic gold medalist, caused a storm on twitter. After Australia beat South Africa in a rugby match she tweeted ,’Suck on that faggots.’ The subsequent outcry lead to a tearful apology but Jaguar quickly stopped sponsoring her. Stephanie though isn’t alone amongst the 140 million twitter users to use homophobic language.
We may say sticks and stones will break your bones but words will never hurt you but this isn’t true. In 2011 14 year old James Rodemeyer from Albany , New York, was found dead outside his home in an apparent suicide. It was the result of constant gay taunts from his classmates. LGBTQ youth suicides are higher than those of the general population.
Dr Kris Wells at Alberta Univerity decided to create a site No Homophobes . He states there:

This website is designed as a social mirror to show the prevalence of casual homophobia
We no longer tolerate racist language, we’re getting better at dealing with sexist language, but sadly we’re still not actively addressing homophobic and transphobic language in our society.

Dr Wells added that he wanted people to help:

…..put an end to casual homophobia. Speak out when you see or hear homophobic or transphobic language from friends, at school, in the locker room, at work or online

A young lesbian I know is subject to a daily barrage of homophobic tweets from both sexes.On two supposedly tolerent forums there have been recent posts about the members dislike of trangender people as well as transgender performers.
Since the site was created in July there have been almost 3 million uses of the word faggot. It was calculated that in one year there would be 15 million. Fag couldn’t be used because it is also English slang for a cigarette. There’ve been over a million uses of so gay and no homo. There’s also been around 400,000 uses of dyke.
I live in France and a lot of French slang is fundamentally homophobic and misogynist. I’m sure you could say the same thing about many other langues. It would be frightening to think what the figures would be if the site was multilingual.
