Being Fat Could Kill You?

“Why would a fat person choose to be fat?”
by Toni Tails
Dear Toni, I have a good question. Why aren’t you interested in changing your lifestyle? Aren’t you afraid that being fat could kill you? * – anonymous
Your question is, indeed, a good one. Why would a fat person choose to be fat? I can only speak from my own experience as well as having done some quick research, but I think I can give a decent answer.
First I’ll start with my personal reasons. I am 380 lbs. The highest I’ve weighed in at is 394. I refuse to lose weight unless it’s by my own terms. I’m just crazy like that. In fact, losing weight is actually a minus in my little slice of the porn industry. My fans want to see me pack it on. I have, however, decided to lose weight for personal reasons. I’ve had a back injury that can’t handle all of these curves. However, I don’t plan to lose more than 50-100 lbs, which certainly won’t put me in the “thin” category. Now according to the little bit of research I’ve done, and you can feel free to burn up google as much as ya like, I’ve found out that you can be fat and healthy at the same time! “Wow! Really?”, you say. Yep. This doesn’t come as news to me, since I have wonderful blood pressure, great cholesterol levels, low sugar, and until my back injury could walk up a flight of stairs faster than you could without losing my breath! According to this article in Time Magazine Online: Can you be Fat and Healthy?(http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1066937,00.html) it seems that if one eats healthy foods, high in protein and fiber, and gets plenty of exercise, fitting into a size zero isn’t gonna put ya in the grave. – Toni
Dear lovely lady,
In my opinion, if you are feeling good about your body and if you are not suffering ill health effects as a result of the extra weight, then you are not doing great harm to yourself. You're blessed with one of the prettiest, most angelic faces I've seen. And, as you pointed out, your physique is helping you in your business as a delightfully larger porn performer. The positives you gain from your choice in body-excess ratio seems to balance out any negatives at the moment. You've got youth on your side. Please just monitor carefully your physical health to make sure you don't acquire a diabetic state or any other physical ailments. When you are able to achieve joy and self confidence and earn a means to a viable living, all that joy you feel is surely most beneficial to your overall being. Happy people are more healthy than those who carry in their hearts misery. So long as you feel good about you…this is what matters the most. Your self esteem is not suffering and I am glad. You deserve much love, respect and dignity. I wish you the greatest success in all you aspire to achieve.
Ten thousand kudos to you for knowing what you want in life and having the guts to persue your dreams.
I respect you.
Sincerely,
Denise LaFrance, your fellow writer.
thank you sweety- you are an inspiring artist— wow
I love that you monitor your health so closely, eat good and get proper exercise. So many so called over weight people in this country end up with several health problems due to being over weight, because they don’t do the things you are doing. Keep up the good work both physically and mentally, you sound like a great person that has found a great niche in the industry.

thanks mistress… and, yes it’s a lot of upkeep to work hard enough to keep a big ol’ body like mine strong enough to carry me around and stay healthy, but it’s totally worth it.
You can be healthy and happy–the two are not mutually exclusive. I love big women and people don’t have to be skinny to be healthy–but, come on! 394 pounds? That’s obese and a whole host of health problems waiting to happen. You need to lose some weight, hon.
Well, so far I’ve had no health problems what-so-ever, and as this is my body and my choice- I’ll do what makes me happy- but thanks for your concern
Women are beautiful in all shapes, sizes and colors. A lot of their beauty shines through from the inside. You seem to have your shit together Toni, and as long as you are happy, you spread happiness around.
As long as you remain healthy and fit, then nothing is wrong! Whether it’s being “too” skinny or “too” fat according to the rigid standards of society. Did you hear about the controversy at Lincoln University making students, specifically graduating seniors, deemed “too fat” take a physical fitness class as a graduation requirement? http://www.usatoday.com/news/health/weightloss/2009-11-23-college-obesity_N.htm
