Great excerpt. From knowing him a bit over the years, I think this description is entirely true. "Jamie Gillis was the Pied Piper of people pursuing personal pleasure. He was like a viral infection of joy. Where he went, joy seemed to follow." He loved to tell stories about his time in porn and he often drifted into the subject of the women in his life and he was truly joyous. I'm still trying to remember exactly what he said to me, but he was once joyous even on the subject of death. He was truly amazing and this work really captures some beautiful stuff about him. Thank you Mr. Pacheco.

Richard's an AMAZING writer and I love how he so aptly conveyed this story to his audience. I felt like I was right there while reading this. He is so right. The Public, too often is so quick to cast false judgement and condemn those people in Porn when in reality, from my own experiences, I have witnessed that they are phenomenal and some of the most kind, compassionate and GOOD people I've ever encountered; just what he supports here with his re-telling of wondrous events and intimate sharing of their humanity.
Jamie Gillis sounds like a wonderful man and I feel like I know him a little better now, thanks to Richard's well-phrased recollections.
May he rest in peace and know how much he was (and still is) loved.
He'll go down in History of one of the great gentlemen of Vintage Porn.

Touching, Richard. After hearing of Jamie's passing, Bad Girls 4 was the first movie that came to mind I wanted to revisit. It was such a fun movie and it seemed as though everybody must have had fun making it. It's probably Jamie's most endearing performance and a rare chance for him to play something other than the nasty film heavy he did so well.

Ah, Richard,
your words ring so true. The SF contingency of our bizness escaped me as the NYC/LA connection became my beat. But, Jamie... there was no escaping him; nor would you want to if you could. You captured the man and the scene perfectly. You and i have been on parallel paths doing this thing we do, yet there is a spot in me that knows you and what you have done along with John and Jamie so spledidly. The paragrah that begins with, "At dinner...' sums up a lifetime of inner thoughts that rival our lustful daliences while we do the job... and then some.
thank you,my brother.
