1. How did you start in music? I started playing guitar when I was about 12 years old after I saw a family friend playing in a local coffee shop and that was when I knew that’s what I wanted to do. I didn’t start singing until I was a Junior in High School and I sang for the first time in front of anybody at our Schools Talent Show that year. I was pretty shy in High School so I figured if playing in front of 300 plus people didn’t cure my stage fright nothing will.. So those two moments in my life is what basically started it all. Then my senior year I got accepted to Berklee College Of Music and they opened me up to all kinds of music and that’s where I took my first and only vocal lessons. They helped me get my voice to where it is today. Now I have a lot more control.

2. You are now sponsored by Gina Lynn’s company, How did that come about? I actually knew one of Gina’s models cause I used to play at her bar in PA. So then randomly I started talking to some members of the Skin Crew recently and we all hit it off really well, I showed them some of my videos and then they showed them to Gina and Travis Knight and they Invited me to come play at an event and so I went to my first event in Delaware and Gina was a huge fan of me from that moment on. She’s so sweet and supportive of everything I do. Even though I’ve only been a part of her company for a short time me and Gina are like serious bff’s now lol. I’m thrilled to be a part of her company and that I have a chance to be a part of anything she does. She’s amazing. She’s the best sponsor a single guy could ever have ;)

3. Where can we listen to your music? I actually have an acoustic demo on itunes called “the home recordings” that I recorded myself. I have a youtube page http://www.youtube.com/user/bunetaybaz……a myspace page myspace.com/jsteere….and I’m on face book for those who don’t have a myspace.

4. Do you have a CD coming out? I’m currently trying to get into the studio this summer for my first studio recorded album titled “Learn. Love. Listen.”. I’m going to try and start recording sometime in June and hopefully get it done around mid July depending on how busy I am this Summer. But a CD is coming soon, I promise :)

5. What is your favorite song that you did? I’m not sure if I really have a favorite song, I different feelings for each song, some are more personal then others so obviously I like the more personal ones better so in that sense I would probably say that I like 3 of my newer songs the best. “Either Way”, ”Dream Girl” and “In My Own Words” The lyrics in these songs are more mature than my earlier pop songs, you can notice the change of them for sure if you listen to my earlier stuff. You can actually find all three songs on Youtube.

6. What artists influence you? I have quite a few influences with different writing styles. But my top 10 are: Jason Mraz, Bright Eyes, Billy Joel, Rush, Tom Waits, Boyz II Men, Michael Jackson, Prince, Stevie Wonder and Iron Maiden

7. What do you fans usually ask you? Fans usually ask me how old I am lol And they usually guess around 17 or 18. I’ve been told I look 16 a few times. I’ll take that as a compliment since I’m almost 26 :p

8. What is the funniest thing that every happened to you while playing? The funniest thing that ever happened while I was playing is when I was actually 17 at the time playing in a bar and this women in her 40‘s flashed me. I think she had too much water cause she kept doing it lol I had tons of funny things happen before but since I was so young and she was older than my own mother at the time (who was also in attendance, awkward right?) so that’s probably the funniest. Of course I was a Gentlemen and thanked her after my set ;) God bless her.

9. Describe yourself in ten words or less Very Low Maintenance (the Simple things in life make me happy, I always love a good joke and I’m very respectful and easy to get along with) I feel like I just answered a dating site question….what kind of interview is this??? lol kidding.

10. What is something you paid for that wasn’t worth the money? Probably fake poop that you throw on the floor to make people think its real poop…my high school health teacher didn’t think it was too funny…we were discussing bodily functions.

11. What is your philosophy in life? Keep Moving Forward – Walt Disney

12. What is the hardest thing you have dealt with in your life, and how did you make it through? I was born with a congenital heart defect and I’ve had 3 pretty major surgeries starting when I was a few months old then I had my second surgery when I was 7, then I had my 3rd and hopefully last one when I was 22.  I don’t worry about it though, I just look at it as something that I have to do. So that’s why I live by Walt Disney’s quote “Keep Moving Forward”. I also can’t forget my favorite quote from The Big Lebowski – “Fuck it Dude, Let’s go Bowling”. If you keep that mentality, things like this can’t bother you ;)

13. What would be a perfect day for you? Always remember that Life is good no matter how you slice it. Everyday is a new day. But I am a fan of spontaneous adventures. I love doing things on a whim, that usually makes a normally average day a good one. Even if you realize after the adventure that the idea sucked, at least you did something.

14. Tell us something quirky about you that most people don’t know. I love Cartoons, it’s a good thing I have a 2 year old niece. She gives me a good excuse to watch them without looking like a complete child. I also hip/hop dance in my spare time (ask Gina, she’s my partner :p) I just generally love being a goofball. It’s good for your daily moral.

15. What Cause and/or Charity do you support and/or fight for? I’ll support any good cause or charity that I can, I love to give back, I’m glad that Gina and the Skin Crew feel the same way as I do about giving back. Skin Industries PA is highly into giving back as much as they can. Currently we’re helping raise money for a boy in Delaware named Noxah who has leukemia and we’re also doing a bike rally for Lyme Disease at The Maple Inn on June 19th in Honey Brook, PA. So we’re a pretty giving bunch :)

16. Tell us about how sports fit into your life. I’m a die hard Notre Dame football follower. I also like watching the Phillies and the Red Sox.

17. If you inherited five million dollars (after taxes, lol) from an unknown rich uncle, what would you do with the money? I’m going to answer this the same way they answer it in the movie office space “I would just sit around, and do nothing all day”

18. Describe your Ideal mateMy ideal girl would have to have a good attitude on life. I also love a girl that can be herself without feeling like she has to impress you to get your attention. And of course she has to be ready to have fun at all times ;)

19. Describe what you consider a romantic date A good romantic date would be not to have any awkward moments lol. They usually kill any romantic vibe that’s going on. Stay clear of those and you’ll be smoooooth sailing.

20. What part of a body is sexiest and why? Since I’m a singer, I’m gonna say my tongue. I have been told it was masterful, I take pride in my work. Wanna make out? :p
