Tabitha Steven’s Workout Routine at “40″

Tabitha Stevens on Being Healthy
I’m five foot three inches tall, approximately 100 pounds, and at the age of ‘almost’ 40, physically very lucky. I keep my body in great shape by eating right, exercising and having daily doses of sex
. I am very petite as well. I have a size 5.5 shoe and my ring finger is a size 3. What I’m getting at here is the fact that I am a very small-boned woman (one who did not have any children) who will most likely always be tiny. Lately I’ve been on some boards where people are talking about how many of the women, who are now considered MILF’s, gained weight over the years and don’t look like they they did 10 years ago.
Well DUHHHHHHH!
Did you know that the average woman gains two pounds a year when she turns thirty? That’s without trying to gain weight. Our metabolism starts slowing down as we approach our thirties, so by the time we hit forty it’s not uncommon for a woman to have gained any where from ten to twenty pounds. This applies to EVERY woman, unless of course you have an eating disorder, are doing drugs, run marathons weekly or in my case have a radical metabolism in overdrive. Over the years I’ve noticed a change in my hip and thigh area. I’m still very tight and solid but that ultra-lean shape has become a bit fuller for a slightly more ‘curvacious’ effect. I’ve heard so many times as a twenty-something ‘just you wait till YOU turn forty. You may be skinny NOW’. I now understand what I was constantly told throughout my twenties from women in their thirties and forties. Again, I am VERY lucky to be petite and have a high metabolism. Times change and so does your body. Great genetics or not, there will be changes.
I look at a woman like Raylene, who I think is a Goddess, so beautiful and in good shape. She had a baby and is in her thirties and goes to the gym regularly. She takes good care of herself. While on Twitter a few days ago I read a tweet that Raylene had posted. She was on set and a makeup artist had made rude comments about Raylene’s figure. I’m sorry, but I don’t care if you are Miss Fitness USA (this person isn’t BTW) who the hell are you to be talking s**t about some one else’s figure?
The irony here is that most of these snide comments and abusive judgements are posted by women and sometimes men who are far from ideal themselves. It’s easy to hide behind an anonymous username isn’t it? And I’m sure that many of these users could use some serious time on shows like "The Biggest Loser." So how about some shapely tolerance and the realization that all shapes and sizes make for a diverse and exciting world of porn. Our business is graced by many wonderful shapes and sizes. Look at Julia Ann, Shayla Le Veux, Dyanna Lauren and Janet Mason. They look GREAT and can keep up with and in many cases out perform many of the newer and younger girls in this business. BRAVO.

We are all getting naked in this business and should be proud of our bodies. We should all be supportive of each other and each other’s body and not talk crap whether ‘you’ find someone to be too skinny (which is usually what I hear from other girls) or not skinny enough. Be healthy and happy. Take care of your body by eating healthy and exercising. It’s not hard to do. Remember, that 2 pounds a year added up after 10 years… can happen to any of us. I wonder, looking to the future, how many of the trash-talkers will have much to say in ten or twenty years when the laws of age and gravity catch up to them. Or will they simply look back and say, "I was insecure and unhappy so I had to throw a lot of bad vibes out into the world." Hmmm.
My workout routine is simple:
Stretch for 6 minutes 2x’s a day (once when I wake up and once before I go to bed)
Lift 8 pound weights for my arms and shoulders every other day (I do this at home for I do not like getting bothered by some creep at the gym – YUCK)
Go on a hike every other day to really work my legs- at least four (4) miles in varied terrain.
My diet:
Oatmeal with Craisins (cranberry raisins) every morning with my coffee
A tuna or turkey sandwich on whole wheat bread and OJ
Something sugary in the early afternoon for that buzz effect
If I do not make dinner (anything chicken) I opt for a lean cuisine meal
I do NOT drink soda, usually just water or iced tea unsweetened
OMG are you sleeping nightly in a jar of Oil of Olay? You’ve evaded TIME and are looking like a lady in her 20′s! Must be a combination of good genes and tenacity in keeping fit and eating right.
Smokin’ hot and lovely you are.
Best wishes,

Thank you for such a great article, from a talented and beautiful (inside and out) woman. She is a real inspiration to me, and has, hands down, the best body I have ever seen on anyone, at any age. Its also really nice to hear a woman be supportive of other women in the business, instead of competitive. I hope to see more articles from Tabitha in the future.
I enjoyed reading this article.
It is very concise and written from a compassionate and realistic view point.
Yes as a woman ages, her shape and metabolism do change and it takes a lot more effort to maintain an attractive figure.
Still though, even through vigerous exercise, one can not viably get that radiant spring of elasticity of YOUTH back in the skin. Gravity INSISTS and despite toning and proper diet, no one goes completely untouched by TIME.
This is not to say women over 40 should just throw up their arms in defeatist surrender-mode.
I am going to be 46 soon.
I’ve had a baby…who’s now 15.
Between the time of having my son and now, I gained a LOT of weigght and actually fell into a deep post partum depression. I awarded unwarrented faith in those doctors and took the prescribed (and highly addictive!)Paxil for what I now call my ’3 lost years’…which is seeming like the Neon of the 90′s and 2000′s…and THAT i blame a LOT for having slowed my own metabolism WAY down.
Also, with this fatigue those anti-depressants brought on as a ‘side dish’, I also was low energy and ate to entertain myself.
Anyhow, my point being…there are many possible variants what determines how a woman’s shape will transform over the years.
Now, and for the past 3 years, I’ve finally been able to reclaim what is left of my figure and, through careful dilligence in what I eat and really tenaciously exercising regularly, I’ve managed to become more fit now than I ever have been. But it is harder now.
I just wanted to share my own experience with you and your readers so as to let people know it IS possible to maintain a sense of aesthetic splendor…but at the same time, to be reallistic and NOT fall prey to comparing ones self at 40+ to a young lady of her 20′s.
That was then and this is now.
You still look super.

Crazy Charlie Sheen sound/acts a lot like the boyfriend. Minus the hookers & porn stars.
I love the way you look Tabitha, but why don’t you talk about the surgery you’ve had?
